While you're a collegiate member for just a brief period, you're an alum for the rest of your time with Gamma Rho Lambda. We want you to feel welcome and appreciated!

How to Become an Active Alum

1 - Complete Alum Membership Form

The Alum Membership Form has also been called the Exit Survey, Transition Survey, and Alum Application. Although it had many names, it's now one easy to use Google Form that helps us collect important membership data.

2 - VP of Alum Verification

This is just a short waiting period while VP of Alum to ensure your Alum Membership form is correct. 


The VP of Alum will confirm your eligibility. This may include reviewing old rosters, reaching out to chapter membrs or a chapter mentor, or contacting your GRL references



3 - Pay Alum Dues

In 2025, Annual Alum dues are $90. The dues cycle renews each January. Once you have paid your dues, you will be added to the year's Alum Roster. 


Alum dues are collected through CheddarUp.


For Alum joining midyear, there may be an option for a grace period. Contact VP of Alum at alum@gammarholambda.org to see our current policy.

Congratulations! You're a Gamma Rho Lambda Active Alum member. You can vote on elections and policies, attend Convention and some Chapter events. You also have access to national volunteer opportunities, the Alum Newsletters, and more!



Previously an Active Alum?

Have you lost contact with GRL or missed your Alum dues payment? Are you interested in becoming an active member again?


If you were previously an Active Alum and want to reinstate your Active Alum status, all you need to do is pay Alum Dues for 2025.

Who's eligible for Active Alum membership? What if I didn't graduate?

A degree is no longer a requirement for Alum membership, so you may qualify for Alum status even if you didn't graduate. You may be eligible for Alum membership based on any of the criteria below. Active Alum Membership may be granted to a Collegiate Member who:



  • Degree - Receives an undergraduate or graduate degree from an academic institution
  • Academic Transfer - Transfers your enrollment to a different academic institution
  • Academic Withdrawal - Withdraws from the academic institution of the Chapter with no expectation of re-enrollment for 12+  months
  • Medical Concerns - Is under medical treatment that interferes with their Chapter participation for 12+ months
  • Personal Concerns -  Is dealing with extreme personal or family issues that interfere with their Chapter participation for 12+ months
  • Relocation - Moves a distance away from the Chapter that is not reasonably commutable & is not expected to return for 12+ months
  • Military - Enters a branch of the military
