GRL was one of the first truly accepting and affirming spaces I'd ever experienced. Coming from a small rural town and finding a home in a place like GRL really helped shape who I am today. I am so grateful for my siblings for letting me discover more about the world and myself with them.
I had taken a bit of a break from involvement with GRL while I was transitioning into my post-grad life. When I started working with Nu chapter again, it reminded me why I joined this organization, and it felt like fate that a mentor position opened up around the same time. Mentoring has been a challenging and rewarding experience and lets me get to know siblings I otherwise never would have connected with.
I like getting to work with so many different siblings in different ways. I really feel like part of something bigger and that I'm helping work towards an even brighter future for GRL.
