Why did you join GRL?
Coming from a Catholic Highschool, I had never seen an actual LGBT+ school organization before. The fact that GRL even existed blew my mind—I thought that was just a thing that happened on TV. I joined because I was really excited about the idea of being able to join an LGBT+ for the first time, and I was excited for the opportunity to make a difference in my area.

Why did you start volunteering nationally?
I started volunteering nationally because I was born and raised in South Louisiana, so LGBT+ spaces are few and far between. I want to be able to help other areas like mine get the spaces that they deserve. Even if I'm only able to help one area, it's worth the effort.

What do you like most about being on National Council?
I like being able to work with people from different areas with different ideas! Everyone is so kind and fun to work with, and I'm really looking forward to what we'll do together.
